2011 Hurricane Coaches

Molly Graves
Molly Graves returns for her third year as a Hurricane coach. She currently attends Winthrop University, majoring in early childhood education. Molly has been a year-round swimmer since the age of 4, first in Indiana, then in SAIL for Sugar Creek for seven years. She also swam for Eastside Aquatic for three years and YSSC for four years, as well as for Riverside High School beginning when she was in 7th grade. All six years at Riverside, she was part of the SC State Championship Team and was Team Captain during her senior year.

Gene Magliaro
Gene Magliaro joins the Hurricane coaching staff this year. He just completed his junior year at Limestone College, where is captain of the swim team. He has eight years of competitive swimming experience at Team Greenville, Mauldin High School and Limestone. Gene finished in the top sixteen at this year's Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship Meet in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. He also ranks 42nd nationally among NCAA Division II men in the 200 breast. Gene’s dream job is to be an NCAA Division I swim coach, and we’re thrilled that he’s making his coaching debut with Holly Tree. Over the years, he has also taught swimming to both children and adults. When asked about his goals for the 2011 SAIL season, he replied, “I have three goals this summer. To have fun, to make our swimmers faster and to make Holly Tree a strong force in SAIL swimming.”
